A little update on what the winter holds for me, but first...some things I updated. When I posted about my trip to Rome and Assisi had trouble posting any video's or pictures so today I fixed up the posts and added them. So if you read them before and were like "where the heck are these video's she is talking about?", they are now added. I posted some from St Peter's square, our Pantheon adventure and some from Assisi too.

Okay back to the present. For a while I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to be up to this winter. Would I go to Ottawa, would I go up north to The Pas, would I travel the earth....what what what? During my time in Ireland it became a possibility that I would just go back there for the winter. It didn't take me much time to decide that that was indeed what I was going to do. I do think it's really ironic that I left my job in Canada working for NET only to end up back with NET in Ireland? Anyhow I think it is what the Lord wants and besides it is quite a different experience then what I was used to in Canada and that is what I was after for this year anyhow :)
Still, there were not a lot of definite details worked out when I left and in the time leading up to coming here to Nova Scotia I started to think "why am i going back to Ireland, again?" I had a brief two weeks when I just couldn't remember my reasoning behind this move to freezing rainy Ireland for the winter, when I could stay in Canada where I am comfortable, or at least go somewhere warm. This was not helped by my warm visit to Texas! Anyhow I prayed and asked God "why exactly am I going to Ireland with lots of unknowns awaiting me?" It wasn't too long until I had lots of reasons why I should do this and I also remembered lots of the original reasons too. I also remembered all the things I liked about Ireland and about NET there and how I love that they are just small and just putting together a lot of their ministry. Anyhow all my doubts faded away and I decided to ask my Mum for a new suitcase so I could lug all my junk there.
This week I bought my ticket and tried unsuccessfully to talk to Mark about some details too. Anyhow I bought the ticket so I'm not that worried about the details ahahhaa. In fact I enjoy the unknown adventureness! I think that's why I am going...
I'll be spending Christmas here in Nova Scotia. Then on Boxing Day I'll be heading to Ottawa for 8 days and hopefully I'll catch the birth of the newest member of the Keenan family. I also hope to see many people whom I love very much....you know who you are..so don't be strangers! After my brief visit to Ottawa I'll be heading to Ohio to do my Psychological test for the Franciscans. Yes, it is likely that I will get to look at ink plots. I'm fairly confident I'm not mentally ill so I think it will all turn out fine and I'll continue on with my application to their community :)!
When my short visit with the sisters concludes I'll head straight to Ireland. I got a sweet deal on my ticket considering how close it is to Christmas and how late I bought it. It did take me several hours of searching though...but it was worth it. So I'm super stoked to go back to Ireland soon! I'm actually really starting to miss everyone there so it will be a lovely reunion I think. WOOOO.
For now I'll be hanging out with the Fam! I also met a new friend in Texas named Amy. She happens to be a personal trainer and she convinced me in about the span of an hour to commit to all these fitness goals and that I would run a 10k race in the spring haha! So now, as I feel loyal to my agreement with her I'm running 6 days a week and doing some other resistant stuff too. It's not like I don't have time..haha! So...good job Amy. Actually some of you may have read Amy's blog...as she went to India with Jessica. She is just as interesting in real life!
I spend the rest of my free time driving about, getting together my medical tests for the sisters, getting forms and licenses blah blah blah. You know just trying to organize my life for the next six months when
I probably will have much less free time then I do now!
So that's the plan: Nova Scotia- Ottawa (Baby Keenan is born)- Ohio (do psyc test)- Ireland(various projects with NET) until sometime in the spring/summer.
So to end here is a throwback to NET training this fall (another video i wasn't able to post before, plus a recap explaination) SEE YOU SOON IRELAND! CAN'T WAIT!
"My last memory from when all the Netters where together would be the day that the girl with the Harp came to the door. We are just about to start dinner when one of the netters tells me there is a girl at the door here to play her heart. So I go over and greet her assuming that she is here for something going on at the other house where they have prayer meetings and such for the locals. However she then explains to me that she met two of the Netters at mass last sunday and they were talking about music and then they told her she should drop by one evening around 6:30 to come play her harp. This would be fine I suppose except they didn't tell anyone this....hahahaha! So now there is random 15 year old girl here at NET training with a huge harp. So of course I let her in....and after dinner we luckily had free time until 8:00, so we had a harp concert. SOO RANDOM! Nobody was sure what to expect but it turned out this girl was amazing and also super cool and pretty brave too! You know she did just trust people she barely knew and showed up to play her heart with zero details! This girl could play everything from traditional to pop songs! She rocked the harp like i've never seen before."
CHECK HER OUT...
