10 years have passed...but never too late to get lost again.

My mum said to me tonight, can't you do a daily blog or something while you are on your trip? I said, ahhh can't you just get Whatsapp and I'll send pictures?

But she isn't the first person to ask that about this upcoming trip to India and Tanzania. And well, my brothers and sisters at Madonna House don't have Instagram really and there is no way I'm emailing everyone pictures!

So here we are...

You win Mum.

The blog is back. At least I think it'll be back. I actually have no idea how much internet I'll have or time for that matter but I'm going to give it a try. At least airports have internet and I'll be going to lots of those.

For those of you out of the loop, Madonna House is sending Philomena and I to India and Tanzania for one month. We are going to visit some of our friends that the Madonna House gift shop supports. For over 60 years we've had a gift shop where we sell donated items and handmade items. All the proceeds go to the poor around the world. We have made contact with hundreds of individuals over the years and give the money to them personally to help there community or church. Currently I think Linda told me we have 200 contacts in 33 countries.

We have a lot of contacts in one specific diocese in India called Eluru and we have a very long relationship with the people of Tanzania going back to the 1950's. So we chose to go to these two places to meet some of the people we have long known only through correspondence.  

More on all this as we go along...but that's an intro. Pray for us and all our friends we are going to meet!
